Having just returned from the 2009 World Series of Poker, where I was a lady of many hats— I am now taking stock; evaluating the amazing networking opportunities reveling in another cash at this fabled tournament and writing a story about ego dynamics between poker stars and Hollywood stars at the WSOP's Ante Up For Africa charitable event.
This 40th anniversary event of the WSOP offered me a dazzling mixture of activity; I counseled gaming clients on the need to get real about the possibility of repeal of UIGEA legislation any time soon, was tethered to my blackberry as I completed two deals for a famous gaming client, and juggled selection of counsel for a client in Hong Kong with a series of negotiations to unhook a senior partner from a law firm that is still pleading with him to remain within his Magic Circle.
